After graduating from Purdue University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management (Tech Option: Chemical Engineering), Don Berger’s path to California Western School of Law included stops at Uniroyal, Inc. and Dow Chemical, U.S.A.
Admitted to the Bar Association United States District Court, Northern District of Indiana and Southern District of Indiana, United States 7th Circuit Court in 1977, Berger served as Deputy Prosecutor in the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office before taking an Associate position in 1979 at the firm that would later become Berger & Gammage: Patrick, McDonald, Donnelly, Warter & Williams. A Managing Partner at Berger & Gammage, Berger has specialized in serving the criminal defense needs of the greater South Bend area for over 30 years.

A South Bend, Indiana native, Andre Gammage attended John Adams High School before moving on to Valparaiso University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Choosing to continue his education at Valparaiso, Gammage entered Valparaiso Law School, receiving his Law Degree in 1988.
Upon graduation, Gammage received admittance to the Indiana State Bar, licensed to practice in both the Northern District and Southern District of Indiana Courts. In 1989, Gammage became a Deputy Prosecutor with the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office, while simultaneously serving as Staff Attorney for the South Bend Human Rights Department and with the St. Joseph County Public Defender’s Office.
In private practice as a Managing Partner at The Law Offices of Berger & Gammage, Gammage has been a fixture in serving the criminal defense and personal injury needs of the greater South Bend area for more than 20 years.
In addition, Gammage is the current Administrative Law Judge for the South Bend Department of Code Enforcement, Committee Member to Chief Justice Randall Shepard Indiana Supreme Court CLEO Program, Owner of Gammage Real Estate Company, Partner with Batteast and Gammage Real Estate and President of Emerging Leaders, Inc.
